Fast processing at the DC doesn’t necessary equal faster, smoother dock-to-shelf and put-away, when it reaches the store. The win-win comes when your DC is shelf-ready mapping for the store, right from the get-go. If you’re ready to solve it we’re ready to help! Reduce time, tasks and labor from the DC to the store and reap the end-to-end dividends.
Contact UsFor high volume ecommerce and store fulfilment, efficient container utilization is key to optimize downstream operations and reduce the total cost of ownership. As the DC receives store orders, GreyMatter waveless engine breaks the order pool and trolleys are prepared as per these orders in real time. Eaches can be picked and packed into cartons, orders from the same store can be combined, and cartons with less volume can wait for pending inventory – all these to ensure maximum carton volume and container utilization.
GreyMatter Ranger GTP system also provides post picking consolidation and sorting capability. In case of store orders, multiple bins need to be consolidated and sorted to optimize store-route delivery. With post pick automation, the orders are picked into a rack (bin) and moved to another extraction point using Ranger GTP for multitier consolidation. GreyMatter intelligently orchestrates the work to consolidate and sort orders. The feature allows customers to use the GTP system to optimize space and manpower that would have otherwise been used for sortation of orders.
GreyMatter offers configurable picking rules which can be based on business needs like ‘strict SLA’ etc. Order waves or Pick-Before-Time and After-Time enables the batching/grouping of orders by certain defined business logics to ensure that a particular order gets fulfilled either – before the defined time duration or after the time duration.
GreyMatter planogram-based picking feature allows for picking to happen in a particular sequence which is based on the trolley route inside a store. The planogram used for the store layout plan can be uploaded to the Ranger system and the picking can be sequenced based on the planogram layout. The feature optimizes the downstream supply chain, reduces the dock to stock time, and the staging space requirement at the stores and provides enormous cost savings in labor and land requirements.
GreyMatter™ provides flexible ways to configure picking rules based on customer’s specific business needs. Picking logic can be configured basis inventory index and sub-indexes which can help consolidate orders based on departments (Men-Women) or categories and subcategories of SKUs (organize grey socks first, blue socks second, yellow socks third etc). Using smart cartonization and pending inventory management, warehouses can set rules to pick style codes only when all sizes are available, which are quite useful for store allocation orders during new launches and promotions.
